Coach Spotlight: Alex
Coach Alex
Alex has been training in Jiu Jitsu for over 13 years. His love for martial arts started with watching films as a kid, an interest that eventually led him to a boxing gym. Although that gym wasn’t the right fit, it led him to discover Jiu Jitsu. Alex said he felt very welcomed at the first Jiu Jitsu gym he tried, and he’s “been doing it ever since.”
At the moment Alex is focusing on refining his guard game, with particular emphasis on De La Riva and Waiter guard.
Alex says that over his years of training, he's learned that success comes from patience and consistency. “Things take time,” he says. “Stacking up the little wins consistently is what really counts.”
Whether he’s coaching or rolling, Alex brings that same focus on progress and persistence, inspiring us at the gym to enjoy the journey and appreciate every win.
